Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca

On the first day of your 12 days Morocco tour, we will conveniently pick you up from the airport, port, or your accommodation in Casablanca. As the economic hub and largest city in Morocco, Casablanca holds significant allure. Our first stop will be the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, the country's largest mosque, situated on the city's western coast. Perched on a promontory, it offers captivating views of the Atlantic Ocean. Afterward, you'll have free time for lunch before embarking on an exploration of the city, including a visit to the picturesque Corniche of Casablanca. Rest and unwind in a comfortable hotel for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat the capital – Chefchaouen

Embark on a scenic coastal drive from Casablanca to Rabat, one of Morocco's imperial cities and the present-day capital. Day 3: Sightseeing Chefchaouen the blue city

Nestled in the picturesque Rif mountains of northwest Morocco, this city captivates visitors with its unique white and blue architecture. Begin your exploration by strolling through the charming streets of the old Medina, adorned with beautiful blue doors and whitewashed walls. Day 4: Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis- Meknes – Fes

Afterward, we'll embark on a drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Continuing our journey, we'll drive approximately 30 kilometers to reach Meknes, one of Morocco's imperial cities and the former Ismaili capital. Here, we'll visit notable landmarks such as Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Our next destination awaits as we make our way to the culturally vibrant city of Fes.

Day 5: Guided Tour Sightseeing Fes

Immerse yourself in the vibrant city of Fes as we dedicate a full day to exploring its magnificent highlights with the guidance of a knowledgeable local. Fes, renowned as one of Morocco's imperial cities, holds great cultural and religious significance.

Our journey begins by visiting the grand entrance of the Royal Palace gate. From there, we venture into the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prepare to be enchanted by the labyrinthine alleyways and streets, starting with the iconic Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud. Within the Medina, we'll visit significant landmarks such as the Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the fascinating Tanneries. Our journey then takes us to Midelt, where you'll have ample free time to enjoy a delicious lunch. We'll resume our drive, traversing the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and following the breathtaking Ziz Valley, with intermittent stops to relish panoramic vistas along the way.

In the afternoon, we arrive at the enchanting Sahara desert of Merzouga. Here, a remarkable experience awaits as you switch from vehicles to camels, embarking on a memorable desert trek. Finally, we make our way to the camp, a unique combination of traditional nomadic tents and luxurious amenities reminiscent of a hotel. Day 7: Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

After a leisurely breakfast, you'll return on camelback to Merzouga, where your driver will be waiting. The seventh day of your 12-day Morocco Tour is dedicated to exploring the captivating region of Merzouga, which boasts a plethora of remarkable sites, ranging from sand dunes and a wild lake to ancient mines, fossil areas, and stunning oases. These locations offer the perfect backdrop for a variety of exciting outdoor activities.

Our journey begins in Merzouga as we embark on an off-road drive to visit an ancient eyeliner mine, offering a glimpse into the region's rich history and traditions. Next, we'll have the privilege of paying a visit to the nomads, who reside in their intricately woven handmade tents. Engage with them, learn about their way of life, and savor the flavors of Berber tea. Our next stop takes us to the vibrant Khamlia village, where you'll be treated to the captivating rhythms of Gnaoua music and mesmerizing dance performances. The village's inhabitants have their origins in sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Enjoy some free time to indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterward, we'll take a leisurely stroll through a picturesque palm tree grove, immersing ourselves in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. We'll then drive a short distance to behold the wild beauty of Merzouga's lake, also known as the Flamingos Lake, which is home to a variety of bird species. Finally, we return to Merzouga.

Day 8: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Leaving the desert behind, our next destination is the historic town of Rissani, once the capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a bustling trading hub in the region, with its vibrant souk coming alive on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After leisurely exploring the lively souk of Rissani, we proceed to Erfoud, where we have the opportunity to visit one of the workshops specializing in fossilized marble. Continuing our journey, we drive through the picturesque palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, eventually arriving at the magnificent Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, these towering red cliffs have formed a spectacular canyon, offering an ideal playground for rock climbers. Take your time to wander through the gorges and marvel at the breathtaking landscape. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local restaurant.

We then continue our adventure, traversing the stunning Dades Valley via Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we make sure to make stops at the fascinating rock formation known as the "monkey fingers" and a scenic viewpoint atop a mountain, providing a panoramic vista of the Dades Valley.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

We proceed with our journey to Kalaa Magouna, where we explore the enchanting Rose Valley. Every year in May, a vibrant Rose Festival takes place, showcasing a wide array of rose-based products such as perfumes, rose water, oils, and cosmetics created by the local community. Continuing our drive, we venture through the captivating palm groves of Skoura, finally arriving at Ouarzazate, renowned for its film studios that have been the backdrop for numerous famous movies.

Our next destination is the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This historical treasure has graced the screens of numerous films, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and popular TV series like Game of Thrones. Continuing our journey, we traverse the breathtaking Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the majestic High Atlas Mountains en route to Marrakech. Along the way, we make stops for lunch and to capture memorable photographs at fascinating locations. Finally, we conclude the day with an overnight stay in a traditional Riad in Marrakech.

Day 10: Guided tour sightseeing Marrakech

During our excursion, we will embark on a captivating exploration of the highlights of Marrakech, accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide. Known as one of Morocco's four imperial cities, Marrakech is steeped in rich history and cultural significance. Our itinerary encompasses visits to prominent landmarks such as the magnificent Bahia Palace, the storied Saadian Tombs, the revered Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque, and a leisurely stroll through the vibrant and bustling traditional souk, the largest of its kind in Morocco.

Following the sightseeing, you will have free time to indulge in a delectable lunch near the lively Jemaa El-Fna square. Later, we will continue our exploration with visits to the grand Koutoubia Mosque, the largest mosque in Marrakech, and the enchanting Majorelle Garden. Finally, we will arrange for your transfer to your accommodation, allowing you the freedom to wander and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Jemaa El-Fna at your own pace.

Day 11: Marrakech – Essaouira

Our journey takes us westward towards the captivating city of Essaouira. Along the way, we will make delightful stops to witness the fascinating sight of goats perched on Argan trees and to admire breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Upon arriving in Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, we will delve into its rich history as one of Morocco's significant coastal cities. Our visit includes exploring the bustling fishing port, marveling at the ancient ramparts adorned with cannons, and immersing ourselves in the charm of the old Medina. Finally, we will arrange for your transfer to your hotel, allowing you to unwind and relax after a day of exploration.

Day 12: Essaouira – Casablanca

In the last day of your 12 days in Morocco. Depending on your flight time. We depart from Essaouira and drive along the coastline. Stops will be made along the way for panoramic views. Finally, we reach Casablanca airport,end of the tour.
