Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier – Chefchaouen

On the first day of your 10 days Morocco holiday starting from Tangier, our team will pick you up from your accommodation, whether it be a hotel, the airport, or the port. Tangier, also known as "the bride of the north," is a captivating city where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean converge at Cape Spartel. We'll begin by exploring this beautiful city and visiting the renowned Hercules Cave and Cape Spartel. Afterward, you'll have free time for lunch. Our journey continues inland as we drive towards Chefchaouen, passing through the city of Tetouan and the scenic Rif Mountains. Along the way, we'll make stops to admire the panoramic views. Finally, we'll drop you off at your hotel in Chefchaouen, where you'll enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 2: Chefchaouen

Continuing our 10 days Morocco holiday, we delve into the wonders of Chefchaouen, famously known as the blue city or Achaean, meaning "horns" in Berber. Nestled in the picturesque Rif mountains of northwest Morocco, Chefchaouen captivates visitors with its enchanting blue and white buildings and alleyways. Our exploration begins with a leisurely stroll through the charming old Medina, where you'll encounter a myriad of beautifully adorned blue doors. Afterward, you'll have some free time to enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you have the option to embark on a hike to the Spanish mosque, situated on elevated ground. From there, you'll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire blue city, a truly spectacular sight.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Take your time to explore the enchanting alleyways of Chefchaouen, often referred to as the blue city. Immerse yourself in its beauty and discover the unique charm it holds. Next, we'll embark on a drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, these ruins are remarkably well-preserved. Marvel at the intricate mosaics scattered throughout, as well as the majestic ancient pillars and archways. After exploring the ruins, we'll continue our journey by driving 30 km to the imperial city of Meknes, once the capital during the reign of Ismaili. Here, we'll visit notable landmarks such as Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Our next destination is Fes, where we'll continue our remarkable journey.

Day 4: Fes

we'll pick you up to embark on a captivating exploration of the city. Fes holds great significance as one of Morocco's imperial cities and serves as a cultural and religious hub. Our first stop is the Royal Palace gate, a grand entrance that sets the tone for the city's splendor. We then proceed to the well-preserved medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The entrance to the Medina is marked by the iconic Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll delve into the heart of the Medina, visiting notable sites such as the Medersa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries, and the esteemed Quaraouin mosque and university, recognized as the oldest university in the world. Exiting the Medina, we'll explore the Jewish quarter known as the Mellah before making our way to an ancient fortress that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

Our journey takes us further south, passing through Imouzzer and arriving at Ifrane, renowned for its chilly temperatures, snow, and charming alpine-style architecture. Aptly referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, Ifrane offers a picturesque setting. Continuing our adventure, we venture into the cedars forest, home to the Barbary macaques. Feel free to interact with these fascinating creatures as you wander through the forest. Later, we proceed to Midelt, where you'll have some free time to enjoy a delicious lunch. Our route then takes us through the scenic Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, offering breathtaking views, and along the captivating Ziz valley. We'll make stops along the way to appreciate the panoramic vistas

In the afternoon, we arrive at the mesmerizing Sahara desert of Merzouga. Here, you'll embark on a camel ride, crossing the sandy dunes and pausing atop a high dune to witness the enchanting sunset. We'll continue to our camp, a harmonious blend of traditional nomadic tents and luxurious amenities. As night falls, you can revel in the mesmerizing atmosphere of the desert, surrounded by the captivating sound of Berber drums and the dancing flames of the campfire beneath the vast star-filled sky. You'll spend the night in this truly unique setting.

Day 6: Merzouga – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

Today is dedicated to exploring the captivating region of Merzouga, which is brimming with incredible sights and opportunities for outdoor activities. Our adventure begins in Merzouga as we embark on an off-road journey to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. We then have the privilege of visiting the nomads in their hand-woven tents, immersing ourselves in their way of life while enjoying a refreshing cup of Berber tea.

Our next stop is the vibrant Khamlia village, where you'll have the pleasure of experiencing the mesmerizing Gnaoua music and dancing performances. The inhabitants of Khamlia trace their origins back to sub-Saharan countries such as Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Afterward, you'll have some free time to indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Following that, we'll take a leisurely stroll through a picturesque palm tree grove. Just a few kilometers away, we'll witness the beauty of the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as the lake of flamingos. This natural wonder offers a breathtaking sight to behold.

Day 7: Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

To fully appreciate the beauty of the desert, it's essential to wake up early and witness the magnificent sunrise. Take your time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast. We then bid farewell to the desert and make our way to Rissani, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani remains a bustling trading hub, particularly vibrant on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays when its lively souk comes to life. After exploring the vibrant souk, we continue our journey to Erfoud, where we'll have the opportunity to visit one of the workshops showcasing exquisite fossilized marble craftsmanship.

Our route takes us through the enchanting palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, leading us to the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, these towering red cliffs create a dramatic canyon that rock climbers find irresistible. Feel free to wander through the gorges, immersing yourself in the breathtaking landscape. Later, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Our journey continues through the picturesque Dades Valley, passing through Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we'll make stops at the iconic "monkey fingers" rock formation and a scenic spot atop a mountain, offering panoramic views of the Dades Valley.

Day 8: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah– High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Our journey continues as we make our way to Kalaa Magouna to immerse ourselves in the enchanting Rose Valley. Each year in May, a vibrant Rose Festival takes place, where locals showcase their exquisite rose products, including perfumes, rose water, oils, and cosmetics. It's a delightful opportunity to indulge in the fragrant essence of the roses. Moving on, we drive through the picturesque palm groves of Skoura and pay a visit to the renowned Kasbah of Amredhyle. Our next stop is Ouarzazate, where we'll have the chance to explore the film studios that have been the backdrop for numerous famous movies. Additionally, we'll visit the impressive Taourirt Kasbah, a testament to the region's rich history.

Continuing our adventure, we journey to the iconic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This remarkable kasbah has served as a backdrop for numerous films, including Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, and popular TV series like Game of Thrones. Afterward, we'll visit the Telouet Kasbah, which holds its own historical significance. Day 9: Marrakech

We'll delve into the vibrant city of Marrakesh alongside a knowledgeable local guide, exploring its most captivating highlights. Marrakesh holds the distinction of being one of Morocco's imperial cities, steeped in rich history and culture. Our itinerary includes visits to the magnificent Bahia Palace, the impressive Saadian Tombs, and the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. We'll also have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the bustling atmosphere of the largest traditional souk in Morocco. You'll have some free time to savor a delicious lunch near the lively Jemaa El-Fna square. In the afternoon, we'll visit the grand Koutoubia mosque, the largest in Marrakesh, and explore the enchanting Majorelle Garden. Finally, we'll transfer you to your accommodation, and you're welcome to independently explore the vibrant Jemaa El-Fna square at your leisure.

Day 10: Casablanca airport

We'll arrange for your convenient pickup from your accommodation in Marrakesh. Depending on your flight schedule, we'll drive towards Casablanca, where we may have the opportunity to visit the magnificent Hassan II Mosque if time permits. Finally, we'll ensure your timely drop-off at the airport, marking the end of your memorable 10 days journey through Morocco from Tangier.
