Itinerary

Day 1: Tangier - Rif Mountains - Chefchaouen

Today marks the beginning of our 7 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech. Our friendly driver will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation, and we'll set off on an exciting journey. Our first destination is Chefchaouen, famously known as the "blue city." As we drive through the scenic Rif mountains and pass by Tetouan city, you'll be treated to breathtaking views and majestic mountains. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, we'll explore its main attractions, immersing ourselves in the charm of the blue-washed streets. Your first night will be spent in a comfortable riad or hotel in Chefchaouen, setting the stage for an incredible adventure ahead.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fes

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your accommodation, our private trip will commence with a journey towards Volubilis. As we travel through scenic routes, passing by Ouezzane and other charming Rif villages, we'll arrive at Volubilis, home to the best-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. Here, you'll have the opportunity to delve into the fascinating history of this archaeological site. Following our exploration of the ruins, we'll continue our journey to the city of Meknes, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its 17th-century heritage. We'll take a break for lunch and stroll around the impressive historical walls of the medina, including notable landmarks like Bab El Mansour and Moulay Ismail Tomb. After our visit to Meknes, we'll head directly to the vibrant city of Fes, where you'll spend the night.

Day 3: Fes

Our knowledgeable guide will ensure you visit all the significant cultural and historical sites, including the renowned University of Al-Qarawiyyin. You'll also have the opportunity to witness traditional Moroccan craftsmanship at the tanneries and ceramic cooperative. As part of your full-day trip, we'll make a stop at a famous ceramic factory, where you can observe the artisans at work. Finally, savor a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes, offering a glimpse into the city's captivating beauty.

Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Ziz valley - Merzouga

We'll begin the day by picking you up from your accommodation in Fes. Our journey southward will take us through picturesque destinations. We'll pass through Ifrane, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco," and continue towards the Middle Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we'll make a stop in the cedar forest, where you'll have the opportunity to capture some stunning photographs with the charming Barbarian Apes. Our journey will then lead us through the mesmerizing landscapes of Midelt, where you'll enjoy a delicious lunch. After our break, we'll continue our adventure, driving through the scenic Ziz Valley, and passing through Erfoud and Rissani before finally reaching the captivating city of Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga - Sahara Desert - Camel ride - Desert camp

Today is dedicated to exploring the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and the surrounding village. Our journey begins after breakfast at your accommodations, where we'll visit the nomads residing in Berber tents in the heart of the Sahara desert. You'll have the opportunity to observe their way of life and enjoy a cup of tea with them. Next, we'll head to Meffis mines to learn about their operations. Following that, we'll visit the charming village of Khamilia, home to the Gnaoua people, where you'll have an immersive experience of their music and lifestyle. Lunch will be shared with these warm-hearted individuals.

Later, we'll return to our starting point and embark on a camel trek over the towering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Your local guides will provide instructions on mounting, dismounting, and other camel-related safety tips. At the summit of a majestic dune, we'll witness the breathtaking sunset before heading back to your desert camp, where you'll spend the night. After a delicious dinner, you'll have the opportunity to listen to Berber music performed by local nomads under the starry sky. If you're inclined, feel free to dance to the rhythm of the vibrant Berber melodies.

Day 6: Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley

On this day, we'll rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the vast expanse of sand dunes, the tallest in Morocco. The changing hues and shadows will create a breathtaking spectacle. Afterward, we'll return to our desert accommodations for a delightful breakfast. Our next destination is Rissani, where we'll explore the vibrant traditional market, known as the largest in Southern Morocco. Continuing our journey, we'll make our way to Tinghir and then to the magnificent Todra Gorge, renowned as Morocco's highest and narrowest gorge. The gorge offers splendid opportunities for hiking, relaxation by the riverside, and savoring local Berber delicacies. Following a refreshing break and lunch in the heart of the gorge, we'll proceed through the picturesque Dades Valley.

Day 7: Dades Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech

On the final day, our journey takes us through the picturesque Dades Valley towards Kalaat M'Gouna, also known as the "city of roses," and Ouarzazate. Along the Dades Valley road, known as the path of a thousand kasbahs, you'll have numerous opportunities to capture beautiful photographs of your trip. We'll make a brief stop at the Atlas Movies Studio in Ouarzazate before continuing to the remarkable Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This magnificent fortress, the largest in Morocco, was constructed by Thami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, in the early 20th century. It served as a crucial stop on his journeys from the Sahara to Marrakech.

Today, it stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. We'll pause for a delightful lunch in this extraordinary kasbah. Afterward, we'll embark on a scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains, passing through charming Berber villages and enjoying panoramic views along the way, until we reach our final destination: Marrakech. Our seven-day tour of Morocco concludes here, and our driver will ensure you arrive safely at your chosen accommodation.
