Special 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert offers the perfect opportunity for those arriving in Fes and looking to experience the Sahara Desert within a tight schedule. The tour includes visits to various attractions, starting with Ifrane, renowned for its alpine-style architecture and nearby ski slopes.
We will then proceed to the Cedar Forest in Azrou, a unique location where Barbary macaque monkeys can be found, making it a must visit spot in Morocco. The tour continues to the breathtaking Ziz Valley, which boasts the second-longest river in the country. Additionally, a highlight of the trip is the camel trekking experience, allowing you to witness the mesmerizing Sunset and Sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, followed by spending a night in a desert camp in Merzouga.
On the next day, our journey back to Fes will be filled with scenic stops along the way, where you can admire the views and capture memorable photos. You will arrive in Fes in the late afternoon or evening, and be transferred to your hotel.
Our driver will pick you up at 8:30 a.m from your Fes hotel to commence your 2 day tour from Fes to Merzouga. During this excursion, you will have the opportunity to make a stop in Ifrane, often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco, to appreciate its beauty and capture memorable photos.
Following that, you will proceed to Azrou to observe the monkeys in the cedar forest. Afterward, the journey continues towards Midelt, where you can enjoy a lunch meal at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will traverse the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass, reveling in the beautiful scenery, until we reach Errachidia. Along the way, a stop will be made to admire the panoramic view of Ziz valley.
The drive then takes us through Aoufous and Erfoud, renowned for its fossils and dates, where an annual festival is held. If you wish, you can visit a local fossil craft workshop. Continuing onward, you will arrive at the captivating Erg Chebbi dunes, also known as the Merzouga Dunes.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will prepare for a 1.5 hour camel trek to relish the sunset, engage in sandboarding if desired, capture picturesque moments, and savor the breathtaking views. As the sun sets, the camel ride will lead you to the desert camp, where you will be greeted with refreshing mint tea. Indulge in a delightful dinner, listen to the rhythmic beats of Berber drumming, gaze at the star filled sky, and spend the night at the desert camp.

Once you are ready, you will either ride your camel back to the original starting point or opt for a comfortable 4WD transfer, depending on your preference. Shortly after, you will reunite with your driver, and your 2 days tour from Fes to Merzouga will resume, heading back towards Fes.
